1. The Service
MeetSnap is a real-time AI meeting assistant. It captures and transcribes meeting audio on your device, sends the transcribed text to a server-side AI proxy to generate live answers and summaries, and stores your sessions so you can review them across the desktop and web apps. The Service is provided by an independent solo developer and is offered “as is” on an evolving basis.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use MeetSnap. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for safeguarding your login credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@meetsnap.app if you suspect any unauthorized use.
3. Recording, consent & your legal responsibilities
This section is important. MeetSnap can capture and transcribe the audio of conversations and meetings. Laws governing the recording, transcription, and processing of conversations vary significantly by country, state, and jurisdiction — some require the consent of all parties.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of MeetSnap complies with all applicable laws, regulations, workplace policies, and the terms of any meeting platform you use. This includes obtaining any consent or providing any notice required before recording or transcribing a conversation. You agree that you will not use MeetSnap to record or process any conversation where doing so would be unlawful, and you assume all liability arising from your recording activity. MeetSnap is a tool; how you use it — and whether you have the right to record a given conversation — is your responsibility.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right, including privacy and recording-consent laws.
- Record or process conversations without the legally required consent of participants.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or models, except where permitted by law.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, quotas, authentication, or security controls.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission.
- Upload or generate content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, or infringing.
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or to train competing models.
We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe your use violates these Terms or threatens the Service or other users.
5. Subscriptions, billing & refunds
5.1 Merchant of record
Paid plans are sold and processed through our merchant of record, Polar. When you purchase a subscription, Polar handles checkout, payment processing, taxes, and invoicing on our behalf. Your purchase is also subject to Polar’s applicable terms.
5.2 Recurring billing
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) at the then-current price, until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges through Polar until you cancel.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which it will not renew.
5.4 Refunds
Except where required by applicable law, payments are generally non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@meetsnap.app and we will review your request in good faith. Refund requests may also be subject to Polar’s policies.
5.5 Price changes
We may change pricing or plan features. Changes to recurring prices will apply to your next billing cycle, and we will provide reasonable notice where required.
6. Your content
You retain all ownership of the content you create or provide through the Service, including transcripts, notes, and uploaded documents (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, sending transcribed text to our AI provider to generate an answer, and storing your sessions for retrieval). We do not use Your Content to train our own models, and we do not sell it.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, branding, logos, and underlying technology — is owned by MeetSnap and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No rights are granted to you other than as expressly set out here. “MeetSnap” and associated marks may not be used without our permission.
8. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers — including Supabase, OpenRouter, Polar, Google (for optional sign-in), and Vercel. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers’ terms, and their availability is outside our control. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or outages of third-party services.
9. AI output disclaimer
MeetSnap uses large language models to generate transcriptions, answers, and summaries. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. It is provided for assistance only and is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on or acting upon it. Transcription accuracy is not guaranteed and may vary with audio quality, language, and accents.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be available at any particular time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetSnap and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MeetSnap and its developer from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — including any claim related to your recording or transcription of a conversation without proper consent.
13. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Governing Jurisdiction], unless applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
